The National
Archives Seattle Branch (NARA) has census records on microfilm and sometimes it
is worth it to use them instead of the online census.
They have naturalizations and immigration records, civil war records,
other military records, and much more.
They have index binders that you can use to find the microfilm you need
to use. They have online access to
the web. They have books and more.
They will give tours of the facility and they present workshops.
They are right across the street from the Seattle Genealogical Society.

the National Archives (NARA) before you attempt to order.
