July 31, 2010 - Summer Genealogy Fest, sponsored by the Genealogical Council of Oregon. It is their 2010 state conference. It will be held at the Lane Community College, Center for Meeting and Learning, 4000 East 30th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon. It features Elizabeth Shown Mills, CG, CGL, FASG and other talented genealogical lectures. Click here for the link to their brochure (very good) and registration with tips for lodging. PS-APG will be attending a dinner with Elizabeth after the seminar and again sponsored by the GC0. PS-APG will be gathering with the Oregon APG Chapter at this dinner for a fun evening. The following conferences and seminars occur annually in the genealogical community:

April:

National Genealogical Society Conference "Follow Your Ancestral Trail"

Just across the street from the Family History Library. July:

The 30th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy (IAJGS) will be held in Los Angeles, California July 11-20, 2010. You can find information on this conference at: http://www.jgsla2010.com/ It will be at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.

August:

The Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) presents their Professional Management Conference (PMC) on August 17, 2010 in Knoxville, Tennessee. This conference is held in conjunction with the Federation of Genealogical Societies Conference (FGS). The APG Roundtable will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2009 before the PMC 7 to 9 p.m. The theme of this conference will be "Charting Your Path To Success."

The Federation of Genealogical Societies will hold their conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. "Rediscovering America's First Frontier" is the theme from August 18-21, 2010. September:

Washington State Genealogical Society Conference, Friday through Sunday. The theme is "Journey of Discovery." September 17 to 18^th, 2010 in Chehalis, Washington Check back often at the WSGS website for updates on this conference.

November:

The Family History Expo held at either the Bellevue or Redmond Family History Center. This seminar is usually scheduled on the 2^nd Saturday in November. The website for the expo goes live approximately one month prior to the event.
